I–TECH (INDUSTRY TECHNICAL EXCELLENCE CHANGING HARYANA) EVENT

The Department of Technical Education Haryana is organizing a One Day Mega Event I–Tech (Industry Technical Excellence Changing Haryana) on 02.05.2018 at Govt. Polytechnic Manesar. The event is an initiative to strengthen ties between Industry and Technical Institutions in the State. Setting up of Centers of Excellence besides strengthening placements and training is being initiated in collaboration with the industry. Technical Sessions with Industry Experts are being organized on emerging areas of opportunity for Engineers and Industry expectations with the aim of enhancing employability of our youth.

On this occasion, more than 15 MoUs are being signed with Industry including Escorts India Limited, I.S.G.E.C Heavy Engg. Limited, Subros Limited, Compaq International (P) Ltd., CII-Munjal Auto Ltd and others. More than 200 MoUs for Training & Placement have already been signed with the industry by the Polytechnics across the State.

5 Centres of Excellence are being initiated on the occasion,  one by Hero Moto Corp. at Govt. Polytechnic Sonipat for automobile and automation, one by BSNL Rohtak at CR Polytechnic Rohtak for Telecommunications, one by Jindal Steel Ltd. at Govt. Polytechnic Hisar for steel industry, one by Maruti Suzuki Ltd. (MSIL) at Govt. Polytechnic Manesar for Auto and Mechatronics industry and one by Daffodils Softwares at Govt. Polytechnic, Hisar for IT Industry. These Centres of Excellence will provide specialized training to the students, for making them  job ready from the day one.

Besides, foundation stone for setting up of  Technology Business Incubation centre in collaboration with NASSCOM at Govt. Polytechnic Manesar is being laid on the occasion , with the aim of nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit among engineering and polytechnic youth of Haryana. It will serve as one of the spokes to knowledge warehouse, a Hub Incubator setup in Gurgaon.

Centralized Alumni and Corporate Affairs Cell of the department is also being launched on the occasion. It will be a State level interactive networking platform for the alumni of Technical Education Department, so as to connect with one another for forging and reinforcing relationships among them for the benefits of students, industries and the society. It will serve as a golden opportunity and a window for linkage of our students with industry.

 

A mega job fair is also being organized on the occasion in association with CII. More than 1500 final year diploma/degree students of all branches i.e. Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering,  Plastic Technology, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Food Technology,  etc from various Polytechnics and Engineering colleges of the State are participating. About 50 Multinational / National Companies are taking part in the placement drive.

Hon’ble CM Haryana & Technical Education Minister will grace the occasion. Besides Students from Technical Education, there will be many participants from Industry, Technical Institutions, Universities and Got of India Institutions.

There will be a Technical Session also person from Industry & Academia will deliberate & discuss on the following Topics & outcome of the session will be placed before the policy makers:
